Types of Trees:
Fraser firs are not only our most popular Christmas Trees, but is the most popular type of Christmas Tree in the nation. In fact it has been chosen as the White House Christmas Tree more than any other tree. Over 11 of them have come from North Carolina farms. Fraser firs have a nice deep green color, and are known for their needle retention.
The Blue Spruce or Colorado Blue Spruce have a similar shape to the Fraser fir, but are easily identified by their distinct blue color. Blue spruces are known for their sharp leaves. The blue spruce is a very popular choice as a living Christmas Tree. Blue spruces grow best in areas that have high moisture content in the soil.
